I had to put a huge complaint in when my eldest was 4 (so under compulsory education age) . A locum paediatrician (with poor English) reported her to the truancy department of the council…
Thankfully the council laughed their heads off but seriously, it’s disturbing times for us old school home edders. The government are terrified that so many now recognise schools aren’t fit for purpose, so the seek control.
