"content": "Well, of course I can't find it. It was written by an orthopedic surgeon. The basic idea was that the shock of running strengthens the bone behind the cartilage but doesn't help the cartilage itself. While, repetitive flexing of the joint without loading (cycling and rowing) aligns and strengthens the cartilage fibers. I'll keep looking and see if I can find the article/video.",
