How long will mainstream sports media cling to the framing of these professional teams as "college" football or basketball. They are marketing arms of universities, and it's right that athletes who bring in tens of millions in ad revenue and donations are now starting to be compensated. They are entertaining, talented and marketable. But the programs (often empires within institutions) have little to nothing to do with college anymore. #journalism #NCAA
