I despair at the number of comments I've seen elsewhere (not here, obviously) denying Kamala Harris is Black, on the grounds that her dad is from the West Indies (Jamaica), so therefore she can't be a proper African-American. Do they seriously not know the history of slavery in Jamaica? Deeply depressing.
