Cost is not the only reason I pick any given service vendor for Ten Forward. Reliability, trust, quality of service factor in higher as metrics I look at.
Linode for example is a service I have personally used for going on a decade now and I trust them to provide a reliable service and their service works in a way I'm familiar with.
rsync.net I picked for similar reasons. I like their service and all of its associated features, including yes customer service.
and no for that budget I cannot start do colocation as that comes with hidden financial, technical and administrative costs which I'm not willing to deal with.
