Spending ten minutes or so thinking about my Micro 8088 build.
Specifically, I'm thinking about video output. See, CGA is right out -- I have no compatible monitor, and I ain't shipping one. Too risky. Same goes for MDA and EGA, either of which is otherwise a good pick.
I'm leaning pretty hard towards the Graphics Gremlin, which can be a CGA, MDA, or TGA video card outputting to a standard VGA screen -- I just worry about the cost.
