Interesting scenario. One of our members transferred BTC from an exchange to their cold storage. However, the wallet showed a zero balance which made them anxious that they somehow lost all of their BTC. Fortunately, later in the day the wallet showed the expected balance. I suspect this was a server outage as their wallet would be run by someone else’s server. No risk of loss but definitely risk that someone else’s server could be down. This could be alleviated by running your own personal server and node.
