Look, if #VR had the slightest chance at being good I'd be jumping at it - some of us have dreamt about cool VR most of our lives!
It's just... as far as general use is concerned I haven't seen a single business case for it that didn't amount to "Look, we just want to sell a shitload of these". Excepting specialized applications, it always turns out that wrapping the screen partway around your head is nowhere near having enough benefits to outweigh its many, many drawbacks.
