The problem is that the Raspberry Pi 5 features a lot of new hardware that is not yet supported by the mainline Linux kernel. Consequently, drivers for the new hardware are not well-maintained, and there are no serious server distributions that support Raspberry Pi 5 yet.
I have a RPi5 sitting in a box, waiting for mainline kernel support, but don't want to risk my Nextcloud users' data to hobbyist/educational-only experimental operating systems.
