I got stopped by four armed SNCF militia at Nice today after the barriers closed on me
I had tried to scan my ticket, no luck
They wouldn't let my friend wait with me. (He got lost in the station and missed our train)
They took me out the barriers and showed me how easy it is to scan the ticket: maximum brightness, ticket resized to no more than 30% of the screen, hold it in the right place, wait 10 seconds. All the while surrounded by tourists who couldn't get through
