Alhamdulillah…it comes with create pleasure & happiness to say we’ve reached the target, & all within a 24hr period. We broke a few milestones with this one:
1) My first Bitcoin fundraiser
2) The target was reached so quickly,
3) Largest lighting TX I’ve ever seen, £1500 on LN!!
I want that last one to be absorbed for a sec…We’ve always thought of lighting as this thing we send a few quid on, no more than a few hundred…but to see almost $2k in one go!!! I’m blown away…
Whoever said LN was dead, they clearly dont know what they are talking about.
I would like to first thank Allah for giving us this opportunity to do good during Ramadhaan, I would then like to thank all those who parted with their SATs & donated, & I would like to thank those devs at

One thing I love about the Bitcoin dev community is the desire to do cool stuff, open source and for free. Let’s not forget that the Bitcoin developers as a whole aren’t paid by any company. They spend their time and effort making this happen, mostly without wages or reward.
Let’s not forget Satoshi himself…launched this network, then walked away (or maybe he’s still here, ahem
adam3us (nprofile…4g5p) 😜). Anyway, a good deed has been completed today, jobs done…now it’s time to get this cash to its cause… I’ll update everyone when I can.
One of our previous Madrasah teachers is now fundraising to expand another Madrasah in Egypt. I suggested that they also accept Bitcoin to help build this madrasah, and they agreed.
Before helping them make the crowdfunding page, I first made direct confirmation of the project Via some reliable brothers there, and they confirm it’s legit.
