My parents need 15min. for driving out of the underground parking, into the city, parking there and going somewhere.
Taking the tram is 3 Min. walking, on average 3min. wait, 12 min. ride and a direct station in front of the store/place to be.
Oh and 25$ difference for the private parking and mileage for the car. A whole year public transport ticket is 900$ + a sixth (!) of our country included.
If the state wants it, it happens. But it takes 100 years to build.
15min.-city is 100 years old.
