Do you often need to query tags when dealing with #Linux sources? Then here is a tip:
Have separate repos for mainline, next, and stable, as having them all as remotes in one repo[1] seems to slow things down a lot.
[1] like I do in the all/ directory – and that only holds the active branches for the stable tree.
