I was lucky quickly find a half decent rental, but..
a) I'd be stuck here for another year.
b) the rental agency (1.4 rating) is comically evil and is already demanding €95 a month more than the ad because "we can." https://maps.app.goo.gl/NZ3mNUdcxYvcshAg8
c) astronomical rent, yet still lower than average.
I keep on telling myself it's temporary, but it's been 17 years here. I'm tired.
