Setting aside whether or not such FOSS consumers should exist in the world, in reality the choices are:
1) Our taxes go to MS for Teams, Salesforce for Slack, or similar
2) Our taxes go to some freeloader selling FOSS that's not contributing in the community
3) Our taxes go to someone selling FOSS that IS contributing in the community
Really not any other option AFAICT.
