i probably should've been more clear when i spouted off my opinions ha, but I do think a mere “~15 min read" info tidbit in the byline is _way_ better than some widget that tracks me down the page counting down the time.
but for me personally, i would still rather see word count than reading time. maybe it's because seeing "reading time" has always made me feel like an inferior reader because I never get it read in the time stated ha.
