If you've ever worked in a large company, at least in the US, you've probably cursed at an employee evaluation system, or an expense report system, or a travel booking system.
Enterprise software tends to suck, because the customers aren't the users. The people who make the decision to use one or another piece of such software don't use that software themselves. They have assistants doing that for them. So they don't know that the tools suck.
