From what it sounds like, the crux of Alina Habba's argument in the moments before the trial break is that E. Jean Carroll, an 80-year-old woman and extraordinary writer living in New York, should have kept a meticulous and detailed record of the innumerable death threats she's received over the last few years as a response to Donald Trump's ongoing harassment against her.
For the strangest reason, I don't think that's going to fly before the jury.
