Virtually all use of it refers specifically to IRV (or possibly STV in a multi seat context). I’ve not seen “RCV” used in reference to a Condorcet method, for example. “Ranked,” “ordinal” or “preference” method are more typical when talking about the general set of methods that use preference rankings. So I would say I do deny the value of RCV, but not all ranked methods.
