Interactive visualization showing the retreat of select glaciers in the European Alps (specifically in South Tyrol) over the past 100 years. Since 1990 alone, the mean loss has been 816m (24m per year). The Langtaufererferner (which I've just been too, see recent posts), has lost the most: 630m in the last 34 years, and over 2700m since 1920... 😢
