My military experience is I was born on an Army base, but I am dang certain they’d not have followed DONALD TRUMP in particular.
They’d more likely have arrested Trump and turned control over to the Vice President, than have followed Trump according to some tendentiously ‘literal’ reading of the law.
(Indeed, my understanding is that, in effect, the VP WAS given partial control on that day.)
