subclassable SVG isn't done yet, but it's on the TODO list. The reason we haven't made more progress on some of those warts is, unsurprisingly, the damper that Apple has put on platform progress of all sorts.
That sort of thing is why we all need to support Open Web Advocacy (npub1kn4…3asa).
