Question to Mastodon tech-heads: I know various social media companies have tweaked/eliminated algorithms that used to pump a lot of traffic toward news websites, certain media outlets, etc.
We've also seen efforts to reduce screentime on phones, etc.
Is there any evidence that there's been a collective impact here — one that's just reduced internet traffic overall (sans streaming, I guess)?
