I saw this story yesterday in the WSJ about a couple spending $250k to turn their 850SF finished basement into an adult playroom. So, what sort of crazy shit did they do? I had to know.
Nothing. Just overpaid for everything. You could have done the same thing for $25k and that’s if you were going crazy.
Fake Fireplace: $18,600
Coffee table: $3,800
Two sofas: $14,000
Two chairs: $7,400
Carpet: $10,500
I guess the other $200k for was the “designer” to pick the shit out.
