“Fun” interaction where someone confidently stated COVID doesn’t affect the brain in response to a comment about it, and when we mentioned there is evidence to the contrary, they immediately shut down with “I don’t want to know because I can’t do anything about it”, as their life circumstances (school age children, their particular job, etc) make it hard to take precautions. All this is to say that it sucks we’ve forced people into positions of willing ignorance just to cope with helplessness
