Recently making heavy use of the new YAML features to add data to documents, very useful for recording info about plants for me.
Creating hierarchies and connections by linking documents between eachother.
Resulting graphs start giving me insights, I love making connections between things, relationships matter.
(Image is a WIP graph of plants connected to plant families and orders as well as my permaculture zones 1-5)
Then powering the structured data with 'dataview' community plugin to quickly create lists.
For example I have notes about plants. Wanna know which are perennial, I use dataview with a query to list them all for me.
Doing similar stuff now but for nutrients. need plants yielding fruit high in vitamin B6? I get a list for that.
Best thing nowadays with LLM is that I can quickly get infos for a list of things, already preformatted so I can copy&paste.
Generally, I found that it's like in programming, I apply a pattern when I encounter an unsolved problem. Keep the pattern knowledge in my pocket to apply when needed. So bumping this thread in hopes to learn more techniques 🤙
