The last JRPG I really loved was probably FF6, but I did play a bit of Yakuza 7 and thought the turn-based combat worked better than I expected.
Difficulty is such a weird thing in Elden Ring. It's an easier game to trivialize than most of the games From has released since Demon's Souls, but it also has a few real tough spots.
