Happy January 6th. Reminder that the founding fathers were insurrectionists and America was built on insurrection. The second amendment encourages insurrection if the government oversteps itself which not even conservatives will say out loud. "It's for hunting, recreation and self-defense." Yes, and also no. It's for all of these things, and the self-defense they talk of is extremely limited. "[...] the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." is not difficult to understand unless you're illiterate or a bad actor. Intentional reinforced obfuscation of something inherently basic. This has always been a common information warfare tactic but it's a lot more obvious and easy to parse today.
