The only reason why I would admire AI hype is that web s cursed enough to have ads, trackers, pop-ups and other spyware stuff on most websites from a web-search. I believe it was much better 10 years before, but today it is very annoying to use if you somehow enable javascript in your browser. I find using ewww in emacs is one ways of dealing with a cursed web, but another and more mainstream one in my opening is using AI chat stuff, that at least don't send you ads yet (I want to believe)
