I bought all the equipment and learned how to sous vide early in the pandemic as a tool for meal-prepping lunches for the week.
I told people how much I loved it, really appreciated the convenience of letting food cook itself while I did something else.
After 4 years it's time to face the truth: everything that comes out of the sous vide is disgusting.
I've tried and tried to like this thing, recognizing the amazing potential, and even advocated for it to skeptics.
But I was lying to myself.
