It’s a pretty horrifying realization for some people, many who have been raised to have a general trust in authority, to come to grips with the fact that not only does their government not have their best interests at heart, but will gladly kill them and millions of civilians to support a narrative in the name of profit and massively expanded powers to conduct surveillance.
