Had an interesting realization today: the grouped notifications in Mastodon 4.3 seem to have "deflated" notification counts. If I'm observing right, your notification sidebar shows the count of *groups* of notifications, not *total individual interactions*.
Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but other apps with grouped notifications, like Bluesky etc., show the count of total notifications. May make some people think they're getting less interaction here without realizing why.
