In my opinion, #mastodon has many advantages over #bluesky. True federation is the big one.
But the average user doesn’t care.
The average user wants the following:
* Make it easy to follow accounts
* Decent search
* The app should not be confusing
* The mobile experience should be the same as the desktop experience
I haven’t used #bluesky, but #mastodon does not offer these features and likely lags in all of them.
