Idiocracy might be the smartest film I've ever seen.
As it highlights the damned if you do, damned if you don't, nature of trying to fix the issues that exist in our modern economy, where there are even whole sectors of industry that are based on fake science, fraud and models, but can't be ended because of their importance to the economy as a whole.
Perhaps the solution in Idiocracy is even the only viable solution - that being; do the thing and deal with the fallout.
