Bluesky isn’t a better option than Mastodon because they are just trying to recreate a corporate platform in a decentralized space.
But I completely understand why Black and Brown folks would go there instead trying Mastodon.
The Mastodon project has not made any significant progress in a long time and has a well earned reputation for ignoring the needs of its userbase.
So unfortunately many have to choose between the lesser of two evils.
