I’ve said this before, but for a variety of reasons, I don’t think Mastodon or the fediverse actually work for people who want to broadcast as influencers. everyone who quits in frustration (and it’s not just Black posters, plenty of white influencer dudes have quit as well) have the same complaint: the bullshit-to-juice ratio is just way off.
