Found this recipe online. What you all think? cos I've never cooked with apples or cider (English cider). Sounds good, I think I going for it this week.
Creamy Pork and Apple Casserole with Cider.
Ingredients:
2 tbsp olive oil
500 g (1.1 lbs) pork shoulder, chopped into chunks.
½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
1 medium onion, diced
12 button mushrooms, sliced in half
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp plain flour
240 ml dry cider
420 ml chicken stock
½ tsp dried sage
2 crisp dessert apples, sliced thick wedges
80 ml double (heavy) cream

Thing is it 90 mins in oven and don't have big enough oven dish I wonder if I could just do low heat on stove top but seems the cooking time would be less....have to play it by ear.
