One of the most depressing things is when I look at government jobs and see our budgets in action.
It seems like most counties and large departments(Amtrak) are hiring for 20 versions of cops & prison guards, and then asking for people to volunteer for stuff like literacy tutors.
Have they considered paying a literacy specialist might save them money on cops?
