Is pidgin / libpurple still the least-terrible multi-protocol chat client out there?
matterbridge works fine for *bridges*, but that's not what I want: I want the application to connect to each chat network as *my own account*, and let me add/remove rooms/channels/services interactively
I want "pidgin but supports threading, editing, media"
And no, ["electron façade to each service's own web client"](
https://github.com/meetfranz/plugins/tree/master/docs) is not a solution!
