The (new) Observer tells us (in its launch editorial) it 'believes in breaking taboos & making evidenced argument' and so although Nick Clegg has many enemies, they wanted to publish his arguments about the future of the EU;
he argues (as he has done for some time) that the EU needs to further consolidate, re-regulate and focus a lot more on security.
These views/arguments are not unfounded nor uncommon, so why get Nick Clegg to deliver them?
