As if I didn't have enough to do with ornery critters to care for, despite their constant efforts to do themselves harm, and me, the wife insisted we add an additional source of easy, good, and cheap protein to the farm store and our table. Meat sheep. We just had our first ewe born.
Each ewe can birth two lambs a year, nearly full grown in 6 months at little cost. I can cotton to this quickly. They eat a small fraction of what my cattle eat.. And, when the rams butt you it's just annoying..
