Score is 8/10.

This is a show I legit always come back to and will recommend highly because even if the relationship in the show is pretty generic once it gets going it gives the viewer a happy feeling that those two characters got with each other and they deserve all the happiness in the world along with the best wing-man and friend and even some of the girls that fall for the big guy after the fact, in terms of the sister of the best friend liking him it was obvious 20 yards out that was meant to never happen so I didn’t care that she didn’t tell him when she could have had him a long ass time ago if she actually fucking said something.

He art style of this show is that lighthearted bright cheery colored type you see often in shows today but clearly with a bit more effort and I enjoyed them having different art styles for the faces and such during the show along with those end of the episode animation loops and such. I also sort of liked I think the outro a good amount and the intro isn’t bad either. I suppose of the biggest things to point out in the show is Gouda himself, a obviously unusually character for these kind of romcom type shows of which I will admit when i first saw this show turned me off of ever watching it but once you get to know his character and how he is willing to sacrifice his own happiness if it means helping others find their happiness then you start to give a crap about him and I know most people will say “that’s a pretty generic character trait to garner sympathy” and your right and if done poorly I would have highly disliked it but how it’s done in this show works at least for me though I do HIGHLY see the highly generic elements in the show as well but when it comes to them I’m willing to look past them because just because a story has generic elements doesn’t mean its not worth something with how it is presented or made like with Emma: A Victorian Romance of which even if I’ve never read one before I could tell is a basic story derived from a romance novel but I still highly enjoyed sense I don’t usually see that in anime, it often that awkward teen not sure if they are in love fully shit and in this there is stuff like that but they actually become a couple, do couple activities and it’s done in a cute and wholesome way and I think anyone on “here” would understand that cute is a big win and this series is cute in strides. I gave this show a 8 out of 10 and many might say it’s to high but to me 8 out of 10 is fine because it doesn’t go any higher for its generic elements and doesn’t go lower because I’ve come back to it too much, enjoyed it every time and see not enough flaws in it to give it a lower score.

The main character is a bro, the visuals are nice, the other characters are charming and it’s a show I’ve at least watched 6 times over with 24 episodes and a plot that finishes things off instead of trying to gripe on for a sequel that isn’t needed.

Best Quality: The characters will get to you in a good way.

Worst Quality: After they get together things start to be kinda generic and can be sort of boring at times.

Awards-

Replay: Like I’ve said I’ve watched this a few times meaning it’s a show you could come back and watch just because it was a good or wholesome experience at least for me.

Makes You Care: I gave a shit about the characters in this show and I was sad when the last episode played like I get when I watch the final episode of k-on season 2 and that can e hard to get someone as cynical as me to do.

Long Trip: When your own a long trip you tend to get tired about bit more than half way there and that’s where I kinda have to take a break for this series because it tries to have things happening but it is a slog somewhere in the middle and that can be hard to get past.

Overall I recommend this show to people in general especially newcomers because it’s worth watching as a beginning and can be enjoyable as a vet imo, 8/10.
