This might be shocking, but deprioritizing the needs of disabled users over mainstream features is the definition of ableism. This is not a breaking change in a minor version that is quickly fixed, it’s years of excluding people. It’s the result of a systematic ableist process in an ableist world, carried out by people with (probably, hopefully) unconscious biases of exclusion.
