And I don't mean to imply that there aren't romances that end this way, but it seems like a majority of them *do* end with MCs having babies. Why can't it be that they're just two adults in love, and happy, doing their own thing?
I'll explore this more with Rise of Iron (for reasons that are spoilers), because I think it's really important for adults to be portrayed as being happy while childless.
