I saw some stuff about a federated social platform called "Bluesky"; apparently it has user-controlled algorithms, rather than a sequential timeline. *Apparently* it also isn't compatible with ActivityPub, so it's all only Bluesky over there. I don't like that. From what I've heard so far, it doesn't sound very nice, save for the algorithms.
I won't promote platforms like Bluesky unless they're as open as the Fediverse as it stands now. Having platforms be closed off from each other like this is a regression that shouldn't be happening.
