I haven’t seen a chaffinch in years. Nor have I seen a greenfinch in that time.
I wish I still had my notebooks in which I kept a record of each type of bird I saw on my paper round (53 years ago 😱). My paper round was partly quite rural so I got to see lots of different species. I even saw a hoopoe once (just the once mind).
