Very long story
Was very put off by the management of sdf dot org
1) blew up their Mastodon DB in early Dec and had no backup
2) put up a new Lemmy instance just a week ago and brought the entire site down hard for over an hour and never said anything about it when they came back up
3) I subbed through PayPal and never heard one word, let alone a "Thanks!"
4) their About: status page was last updated Dec 25
Made my concerns known to them; finally pissed off a mod who booted me
