I've continually tried to get escape velocity from Emacs over the last decade because I'm not much of a Lisp weenie and I barely understand my own configuration files.
My latest try was to use only VSCode for a month. Sadly was foiled by crashes, sluggishness, inflexible word wrapping, the lack of dired, the focus on workspaces, and my distaste of how it handles editor tabs.
I then used emacs again and wow it's super nice.
So be it. Emacs it is for life. Meet the new boss...
