I know, from experience, that ~nobody dragging React behind them into the new gig is thinking in terms of cost; it's all "opportunity", but if you asked "cool, but what framework from this decade would you pick?", they don't have an answer.
React is legacy tech, held up by a dense web of cargo cults, self-congratulating to a lack of conclusive evidence. How it has remained so turgidly preeminent is a mystery only solved by an industry of product mangers failing to mange their products.
