Not an easy way to get round the carrier point. You can use silent.link so that you are roaming which makes it more difficult and much slower to identify the user. And with Silent Link that user has no name.
Calyx and Graphine are separate OS without many of downsides of using stock Android. They do it in different ways but to say its controlled by Google is not fair.
Google make the Pixel yes.
